Our Muslim Neighbors Suffering Discrimination

Over 80% of our Muslim neighbors in Washington state have suffered discrimination and/or bias in the past year. Responding to a survey, more than 80 percent of our Muslim neighbors over 13 years old have suffered anti-Muslim discrimination and/or bias in the past 12 months. Ending Human Trafficking in an Era of Globalization

Climate change, political strife, natural disasters, abject poverty, and wars have led to increasing numbers of people trafficked for their labor or for prostitution, as well as people turning to trafficking for their own gain. Carol Chapman Dies at 84

We’re sorry to report the death of our member, Carol Chapman, on July 14, 2024, at the age of 84. She was a Seattle Branch member for 57 years and our branch president from 1979-1981. She and her husband (who predeceased her) were active in Haller Lake United Methodist Church for 50 years. They enjoyed travel, visiting all 50 states and 35 countries.
