AAUW Seattle Steps up to Support Graduate Student Research at UW

In June 2025, the Seattle Branch of AAUW provided $10,000 to help fund women graduate students’ research on projects of the University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). This is a collaborative project involving Dr. Elena Austin, Department Chair of DEOHS and AAUW member, who will mentor the students. High School STEM Scholar Recognition with Alyssa Lind

Our April High School STEM Scholar Recognition event was a wonderful success. We honored 28 students from 10 Seattle area schools including Making Connections at the University of Washington. Proposed Seattle Branch Bylaws Changes

At our Annual Meeting, branch membership will be voting on proposed changes to our bylaws. Our bylaws remain in compliance with mandated National articles I - VII, however, there are two changes are being proposed for our branch unique articles.
