High School STEM Scholar Recognition

Proud families clapped as their daughters received recognition for their achievement in STEM fields.  The high school juniors received awards for their excellence in science, math or technology. AAUW Seattle No Kings Protest Sponsor - March 28, 2026

On March 28, 2026, more than 100 “No Kings” protests took place across Washington state, organized by Indivisible and sponsored by AAUW Seattle. These events were part of a nationwide day of action responding to policies and actions of the second Trump administration. AAUW Seattle Steps up to Support Graduate Student Research at UW

In June 2025, the Seattle Branch of AAUW provided $10,000 to help fund women graduate students’ research on projects of the University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). This is a collaborative project involving Dr. Elena Austin, Department Chair of DEOHS and AAUW member, who will mentor the students.
