2021 Seattle Branch College 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

We are pleased to announce that we have awarded $5,800 to $6,000 scholarships to three UW-Seattle students. All three grew up in the Puget Sound area. Anna, a third-time awardee, is a Senior with a double major in public health and sociology. Her plans include graduate school in public policy. Anya is a Junior double majoring in molecular biology and public policy and intends to pursue a PhD in developmental biology and to become a government advisor on disability and science. Octavia transferred to the UW computer science program as a Junior and plans to work as a software engineer. All three women have cut clear paths for themselves - even in the face of considerable obstacles – and have demonstrated leadership abilities and community-mindedness. Scholarships Committee members are Gay Armsden, Suzanne Baker, Fiona Goodchild and Joan Peterson.
