Our annual High School STEM Scholar Recognition event was a warm and joyful celebration at the Urban Horticultural Center on April 19. More than 80 parents, family and friends were present cheering on more than 30 scholars recognized for their excellence in math, science and technology. The energy in the Captain’s Room was palpable as we heard Katelyn Parker describe the Kraken Hockey Youth Development Program at our March 15 meeting in the Kraken Ice Complex at Northgate. I’m Still Here! Surviving Cardiac Arrest with Tracey Conway

Being a comedian, there were many comic elements to this near tragic story. The “dropping dead” part was not in the script. She was only 38 when she suffered from severe sudden cardiac arrest. Holiday Breakfast Party with TechTrek Campers and Jazz Pianist Ray Skjelbred

Our Holiday breakfast party attracted over 60 members and guests to the Seattle Yacht Club on December 17. Brightly decorated trees and 16 raffle basket donations set a festive tone. Our raffle raised funds for TechTrek summer camp and we were happy to welcome 3 former campers who attended the party with members of their families.
