Holiday Breakfast Party with TechTrek Campers and Jazz Pianist Ray Skjelbred

Our Holiday breakfast party attracted over 60 members and guests to the Seattle Yacht Club on December 17. Brightly decorated trees and 16 raffle basket donations set a festive tone. Our raffle raised funds for TechTrek summer camp and we were happy to welcome 3 former campers who attended the party with members of their families. Women and Homelessness

More than 30 people came to Café con Leche on September 17 for the branch’s program on Women and Homelessness. Speakers from the Real Change Homelessness Empowerment Project shared personal stories and explained how the project provides self-employment leading to a supportive community, increased self-confidence, and an opportunity for people experiencing homelessness to work themselves into shelter.
