A larger-than-usual group of members and guests gathered at the Northwest African American Museum in Seattle’s Central District to hear about the amazing work the group headed by Andrea Altheimer is doing with Community Passageways Re-entry Program. Our April High School STEM Scholar Recognition event was a wonderful success. We honored 28 students from 10 Seattle area schools including Making Connections at the University of Washington. Hendrick Goltzius, a 16th century Dutch artist, was her lead example. Despite serious fire damage to his face and one hand in childhood, Goltzius became one of the foremost engravers of his time.
