Holiday Program 2024

Our annual Holiday Program and Tech Trek Celebration took place at the Queen City Yacht Club on December 15 with 55 people attending. We admired the fabulous sunny view from the club windows as well as the festive decorations inside the ballroom.
The event included a fundraiser for the Tech Trek week-long educational STEM experience and attracted many raffle baskets created by branch members. Reitha Weeks, Co-chair with Fiona Goodchild of the Tech Trek Program, welcomed 8 of the middle school girls who attended the camp last summer as well as 10 of their family members. The campers talked about their experiences and highlighted their favorite activities, stressing the fun of meeting and working with other girls who share interests in math, science and technology.
This year, 3 Tech Trek staff also attended and outlined their respective roles at the weeklong camp. We realized how much design and planning goes on so that we can host such a successful summer event. Over $1000 was raised at the meeting for this important program.
As we enjoyed the afternoon tea, we listened to seasonal tunes played by Elena DeLisle and Tim Wetmiller. Then it was time for the excitement of announcing the raffle winners and wrapping up another joyous occasion.
