Holiday Program and Tech Trek Celebration

We’re excited for the new location which we tried out successfully last year. We’re meeting on Sunday this year at 2 pm for coffee, tea and, of course, food fit for a fun tea party. Free, reservations required by December 9. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

For entertainment, we will hear from last summer’s Tech Trek campers. We’ll learn about this wonderful program and how the campers we sponsored experienced this weeklong sleep-away camp focused on science and technology.

We’ll also be entertained by a string duo: Tim Wetmiller on violin and Elena DesLisle on guitar playing a mix of classically oriented jazz, bluegrass and Latin music. This talented duo were with us last year, and we’re happy to have them back.

We’ll have a basket raffle again this year. Proceeds go to sponsoring our Tech Trek campers (girls and female non-binaries) to attend Tech Trek, so be sure to bring cash, your checkbook, or both. Directions:
The Queen City Yacht Club is at 2608 Boyer Ave. E. The building is at street level but sits along a hillside. Watch for the driveway going downhill from Boyer to reach the parking lot and park in any open spot, except those marked “Reserved.” Enter the building from the left (south end) of the parking lot and take the elevator to the 3rd floor ballroom.

Tech Trek Donations:
If you would like to donate directly to Tech Trek, there are two ways. Note: Raffle tickets are not tax-deductible, however direct donations to Tech Trek are tax deductible.

1) Online, via credit card, debit card or PayPal, through the Tech Trek WA website, Click on the AAUW-WA SPF “DONATE” button on the home page. It is the only DONATE button on the page. After entering the amount you wish to donate, click on PayPal or Credit Card. Click on the “+” at the top of the page, then type in that the donation is to support Tech Trek for Seattle Branch. Fill out the remainder of the form with your information.

2) Via check made out to AAUW WA SPF. In the memo area, write “TT Seattle Branch”, You can bring it to our Holiday Program or mail it to:
