Join the Art Smart Group for a visit to the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art on October 18th.. The museum is conveniently located up the hill from the ferry dock. The group will meet in the museum lobby at 10:00 AM, and the tour will be led by Ann Dennis. The museum has an onsite cafe, BIMA Bistro, for refreshments and lunch after the tour. Admission to the museum is free.
During our visit, we’ll explore the art of Linda Okazaki in the exhibition Into the Light, a retrospective of paintings by the Port Townsend artist. Okazaki’s diverse influences – including dream logic, Goethe’s theory of color, nature, and childhood tragedy – combine into this large-scale exhibition of more than sixty oil, watercolor, and iPad works from the 1970s to present day.
