Sponsored by the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. You don’t have to be a runner to help with this event (although you can run!). They need lots of volunteers, too. Here’s the volunteer page.

Emily Stone from the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence was the keynote speaker at the Washington State Annual Meeting in April and gave a great presentation. Her organization works with all the domestic violence centers across the state, has programs to re-educate men and many other programs. We learned that domestic violence is the #1 cause of homelessness for women and children. Funding and the effects of laws on those suffering from domestic violence are big issues. She also suggested a short video for all to watch.
