Maragh-Lloyd recently took a position at Washington University in St. Louis, moving from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. She is currently working on her first book, Reshaping Black Resistance: Strategic Rearticulations in the Digital Age, which explores the shifting nature of Black resistance online.
She is an American Fellow for 2021-22 with the generous support from the American Association of University Women. The grant has allowed her to complete focus group data for chapter three of her book, parts of which will be published in an upcoming anthology titled, Intersectional Internet Volume II. Raven Maragh-Lloyd is an assistant professor of race and digital media at Washington University in St. Louis in the Department of African and African American Studies and Program in Film and Media Studies. She received her PhD from the University of Iowa and her MA and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Missouri in Journalism Studies.
